Everyone needs a hobbie right? I have been in lack of a hobbie that keeps my interest these last few years. I love to garden but since I do not have a yard and it's winter a lot here I can't do that. When I was younger I loved things that boys love. I offten was less than a lady. :) When I was in college I tried something new; crafts. It was not for me. I never had anything against crafts or the poeple who enjoyed them, it just wasnt my cup of tea. I would rather be out mudding in my Jeep. This served its purpose (It's how I got Bryan) but as soon as I became a mother I settled down a bit. Bryan works at night and I put the girls to bed and watch the TV. One can only watch so much reality TV, its getting old. When I found out we were having Brooke I started looking at ways to decorate. That is when I made this for her room:
This is where it all started.
A good friend of mine is quite talented in sewing and crafting. When you look at my blog you see a link to "make it and love it" this is her craft blog. Its great! I love her ideas. I now steal many of them. Go ahead have a look at her blog (she even gives away free things from time to time). I decided to give crafting another try. plus now I needed this:

A few months later I found myself making this for the girls room:

And last week these magnets for the fridge:

Then I needed a new bow holder for the girls bows and this was made:
I was crafting and loving it! (Dad stop laughing!)
In the last few days I made this star to hang on the door when there is a birthday in the house. If you want to make this it can be found at "make it and love it" under Christmas Star.
I made a blanket for Abby yesterday:
We all need something we love to do. I have a few things I like and now crafting is added to the list. I get excited to try new things or shop for supplies. Bryan and I really need to set a budget up for this! I am enjoying putting things together and using them, even if my sewing isn't strait and you can see some glue that ran down the side. And don't worry Dad I will still ride rollercoasters and go to car races with you! But now we can also make flowers out of fabric when you come to visit!
Next up: embroydering tea towels, making Brooke a belt, and an Apron for me.
