Mommy how does rain work?

 Brooke has had a bunch of questions about rain works so we did this little activity. 

I added some water to a glass container and topped the water with shaving cream. The water was the air and the shaving cream clouds. Then we dripped blue food coloring on the clouds. It gives a very believable rain effect! We talked about how water collects in the clouds and when there is lots of water and it get heavy the water falls to the earth as rain.
