Ok, I am converted to a new way of camping. We have a state park near us that rents yurts at the camp site.
Here is what it looks like.
Let me tell you its the way to go with small children. Bryan and I love to camp but it has been frustrating since we had kids. Yurts are the solution. They have beds, heat and electricity. So we can still cook outside and hold onto the things about camping we love but having some comforts makes it easier with the kiddos.
In the yurt there were bunk beds. The girls thought it was so cool. I have been trying to talk Bryan into bunk beds for thie girls but after they both had close encounters with falling off we decided to wait on the bunk beds.
We headed down to the lake for fishing and I thought it would be harmless for the girls to roll up their pants and splash in the water. It was fun for a few minuets before Abby took a few steps too far and went head first into the water. That means mom had to jump in the water fully clothed to fisher out. By the time I got to her it was waist deep water. It was a testament to why to NEVER walk away from them near water. She was fine, it only took me 2-3 seconds to get to her.
We also went to a wolf discovery center. It was fun to see the wolves, but i didnt get a clear picture.
We also had a visit from Uncle Robert and cousins Croinne and Ethan. Its always so nice when we get to spend time with them. I enjoy their company a lot!

Gorgeous photos, and looks like sooooo much fun!!!! Glad you discovered camping in yurts - yes, easier with little kids than is tent camping....it does get easier as they get older...hang in there and enjoy!
