Cindy

Story Time:
Bryan and I met at church. We were in the same ward (congregation) in college and became friends there. Our bishop (head of the ward) was Lyle Wakefield, we were quite close with him and his wife Cindy. They are family to us and continue to be part of our lives. We had some time together in a ward after we got married and had Brooke. They have been there for some of the most memorable times for us, they saw us fall in love and get engaged, attended our wedding, visited us in the hospital after both children. I love them so much, and feel so blessed to have had them with us for so many great moments.

Here in Rexburg we have a program called "Parents As Teachers", once a month a member of the community comes over and helps you gain skills to be a better parent and give you activity ideas. We are so lucky to have Cindy fill this role in our home. We sing songs, read books, do art projects, and play games. Brooke LOVES it, when I tell her Cindy is coming over she counts down the minutes and sits by the window looking out until she arrives. Here they are making trail mix a few weeks ago.

I wanted to share this photo but knew I could not do it justice without telling you how important the Wakefields are to us. It's such a blessing to have friends like this in our life.

How fun! The Wakefields lived in the same apartment complex as us for a brief period of time. They are great people!

Brittany, What a great blog. I love your photos in New York. You've got a really good eye.
