Fireworks

Two things make me tear up on the 4th of July. The first is always at the beginning of the parade when the American flag goes by with all the vets and soldiers and we all stand up and get quiet put our hands on our hearts and show respect for our flag and those who keep us free. I am always so thankful for this country and the men who fight for us.
The other is during the fire works. They are so magical. Ours in Idaho Falls are set to music and always come with a heartfelt message. When they talk about what our country stands for and then "God Bless the USA"comes on I always look around and fell just that.....blessed. Tears tend to run down my face as I stand with my family and watch the beautiful splendor.
It's true I am a sap! I can't help it. I feel so lucky to be a American.

All the neighborhood kids doing poppers, they just walked around throwing things and staring at the ground!
We did some small fire works for the kids before we went to the big ones. It was still pretty light but it was fun for them to see. Here they are so excited for the fireworks to start.

Here they are after they started and they are mesmerized by the flames.

So excited!!

All together now......awwwwwww!!

Here are Bryan, Brooke, and Abby sitting on the Jeep watching the fireworks.
