The Bunny Stopped by our House

Caution: LONG POST

The easter fun started out with me making these cake pops last week. The idea came from Bakerella.

Here is some of the egg dying fun. This really could have been a mess but we got lucky not to have little hands spill anything.

Our ward (church) had a egg hunt for the kids. Brooke was into finding the eggs at first but after about 10 she was done and wanted to play. It was fine by me, less candy in the house that we all know I would end up eating. The beautiful weather made this really a great day.

Look at her face!! What a lucky kid to have so much on easter. She really loved her rabbit puppet from G&G Jones and the singing rabbit from G&G Rehfeldt, Aunt Ally and Aunt Madi (A video is coming soon).

She loved getting to eat some candy at 8:00 in the morning.

Abby with her new outfit.

I love having little girls. I'm sure I will curse this stament when they are 12 and 14 but look how cute they are in their easter dresses for church.

We ended the day with a classic easter dinner with some good friends. I really enjoy starting our own traditions as a family. One tradition I wanted to start was reading the easter story and talking about why we have easter. We sat down to read from a simple childrens book I bought but she didn't last more then a few moments and I had to skip a few pages. But the tradition has started. So rabbits, chocolate, eggs and the easter story, all coming back next year. I hope the day was wonderfull for you too.
