BABY ABBY

Baby Abigail is here! Wed night I was feeling pain about midnight and by 6:00 am we were headed to the hospital. Abigail Belen Jones was born on Dec 4th at 10:44 via c-section. She was 7 lbs even and 19 inches long. We are going to call her Abby most of the time. Her middle name was picked by Bryan. Its the spanish word meaning Bethlehem, it was a name Bryan hearn on his mission in Ecuador and wanted to use it ever since.
Both baby and mom were doing fine until the next morning when we noticed I was bleeding from my incision. The doctor came to take a look and my staples had come undone. So I went in for surgery a second time to have it all put back together. This kept me in the hospital a extra day but everything worked out fine.
The first time Brooke came to the hospital she was not happy with me. I was holding Abby and she didnt want anything to do with me. She would not sit by me or talk to me. The next visit went better. I got her a new Elmo toy and got her to sit by me that way. Then she wanted to see me and get to know Abby. She got to hold Abby for the first time and now that is all she wants to do. She gives her lots of hugs and kisses. Now that we are home Brooke is still having a hard time with Mom holding Abby so much but we are sure she will adjust in time.

Dont worry Bryan's hand is holding Abby, you just can't see it in the pictures! :)

This is when we headed home today. It will never stop shocking me how small they start out. Abby has been a really good baby so far. Its been a different experience this time, I am not so scared and I can enjoy her more. We are so blessed with our little girls and such great family and friends. Thank you all for your love and support.
